ROG-Engineering in Uzbekistan: Oil&Gas equipment and electrical engineering solutions are in high demand in the country
February 22, 2019. Moscow — PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter – the "Company" or the "Group"), one of the leaders in the Russian engineering market, represented by its subsidiary ROG-Engineering, is participating in the CCI France Russie business mission in Uzbekistan.
Period: February 18–22, 2019.
Habir Kilmuhametov, General Director of ROG-Engineering LLC, commented on the event: “Uzbekistan is experiencing very active economic growth. Large-scale new construction is underway of both residential areas (it is planned to almost double the volume of construction this year) and industrial facilities. This encourages significant demand for engineering and technological solutions, and our company really has something to offer in this field. Our colleagues expressed interest in a number of different engineering products: nighttime illumination of buildings and structures using modern LED lighting equipment, relay protection, transformer substations, etc. A major CHPP reconstruction program is currently being implemented in both Russia and Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the country's authorities demonstrated Uzbekistan's attractive investment opportunities. Diverse economic preferences are possible when locating production in the Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone. Local banks are prepared to financially support industrial projects in implementation.
As for our traditional line-of-business, i.e. Oil&Gas equipment, I would like to note great interest in gas preparation, drying and utilization complexes. We met with our current customers, and they confirmed their willingness to use our technical solutions (including flare systems), the application of which is already embedded in the projects under development at the design level and in feasibility studies. We expect these negotiations to result in secure contacts in 2019.
I'm very pleased that the business missions have proven to be effective for business communication. The mission met all of my expectations and even exceeded them. I would like to express my gratitude to our colleagues from CCI France Russie for organizing the productive meetings with Oil&Gas companies and federal and local government bodies. The meetings have been substantial, and the representatives of the host country are of a high level.
During the visit, meetings were held with Vladimir Tyurdenev, the Russian Ambassador in Uzbekistan, as well as with Andrey Kaverin, the Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan. Russian companies can count on the support of our official departments in any issues related to the business and interstate agenda.
One more advantage of participating in business missions is the opportunity to communicate with other member companies of the Chamber and identify topics for cooperation. We are currently considering taking part in the next business mission organized by the Chamber in April 2019 in Baku (Azerbaijan) to hold meetings with local authorities and business representatives, including the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic.”
