Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica and Schneider Electric expand dialog at the top level and coordinate strategies on the Russian market
April 17, 2019. A working meeting of the top managers of PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (Russia) and Schneider Electric (France) was held in Moscow.
PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is one of the leaders on the Russian engineering market.
Schneider Electric SE is a global expert in the field of power management and industrial automation, the largest manufacturer of low and medium voltage components, and a leader in digitalization of power distribution.
The meeting between the heads of the companies was held as part of the large-scale event, Innovation Summit Moscow, which is being held this month at Expocenter on the Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment. The summit consists of more than 100 business meetings with local and international experts, as well over 1,000 square meters of exhibition space, where Schneider Electric experts present innovative solutions.
Representing Schneider Electric, the following participants took part in the meeting:
· Barbara Frei-Spreiter, Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric (Europe),
· Johan Vanderplaetse, President of Schneider Electric for Russia and the CIS, Chairman of the Board of the Association of European Business in Russia.
Representing Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica, the following participants took part in the meeting:
· Ilya Kalenkov, General Director,
· Andrey Smirnov, Deputy General Director for Low and Medium Voltage Solutions.
Ilya Kalenkov, General Director of PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica, commented on this meeting:
“We highly appreciate regular direct contacts with the directorate of Schneider Electric, one of the key vendors (suppliers of components and solutions) on the global and Russian electrotechnical market. These working meetings become a systematic mechanism for a better understanding of market trends and changes in customer expectations; they allow us to adjust our marketing plans and develop trusting personal relationships at the highest level.
The cooperation between our companies has a strong positive impact, both in terms of delivery volumes and complexity of the projects implemented. In 2018, Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica produced 220 distribution switchboards (columns) of the Prisma series on a Schneider Electric element base. And in the first quarter of 2019 alone, we have already manufactured and delivered 115 Prisma switchboards (up to 2,500A), for the Bank of Russia's data center project.
The dialog with our partners has shown us that digitalization in Russia is no longer just a fancy word or a declaration of good intentions. Our customers, as industry leaders, are already introducing a wide range of new technologies. These include new electrical equipment with built-in sensors, data acquisition systems, systems of remote monitoring and facility dispatching, and unmanned technological processes.
We are entering the IoT (Internet of Things) era: more than 50 billion different devices might be connected to digital platforms in the coming years, and the full potential in the future could reach one trillion devices. This will inevitably have a drastic impact on the business model of many companies. Market demands and dynamics are constantly increasing. It is extremely important for us to hold a leading position in terms of understanding the ongoing technological revolution and our customers' actual need for these technologies. This concerns both the installation of equipment with built-in digitalization functions, the analysis of data from these devices, and the development of an algorithm that allows for further upgrade of business processes in companies.
The high status of our relationship with Schneider Electric gives our Company immediate access to all the advanced solutions of our French partner, as well as the opportunity for continuous professional development for the experts in our relevant department. I am confident that together we will be able to adequately face the challenges of this new era and offer innovative solutions that meet our customer expectations in Russia and neighboring countries.”
