Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica provided lighting for one of the largest JetBrains offices, in St. Petersburg
September 13, 2019. Moscow — PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter — the “Company” or the “Group”), one of the leaders in the Russian engineering market, has successfully completed the contract for the arrangement of interior and exterior lighting of the new office complex in St. Petersburg with a total area of 30,000 square meters, owned by JetBrains — a developer company of software for programmers.
JetBrains bought the Lotos Tower Hotel premises in 2018, with plans to use the former hotel as an office for its employees. The company's headcount in St. Petersburg is expected to double by 2024 — from about 600 to 1200 people.
As part of this project, PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica implemented the following:
- For the arrangement of the interior lighting:
- Adaptation of the facility's interior lighting concept developed by UNK Project architectural company (Russia) in order to optimize the project budget for the Customer;
- Lighting design;
- Selection of the lighting equipment, delivery and supervised installation.
Part of the equipment was produced to meet the Customer's requirements, and the individual design made it possible to get high color rendition and energy efficiency parameters.
- For exterior lighting (architecture and construction):
- Selection of lighting equipment, lighting design, visualization of project solutions, delivery and supervised installation.
Ilya Kalenkov, General Director of PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica, commented on this event: "We are happy to see this major project as the latest example of our successful cooperation with domestic high-tech companies.
We appreciate the trust that JetBrains had in us. As of now, more than 63% of employees work in the JetBrains office in St. Petersburg. With plans to expand the number of personnel, the new large office complex in St. Petersburg will confirm its position as the company's key center for expertise. We expect the professional lighting system used in this project to create a more comfortable working environment for hundreds of programmers, project managers, marketing experts and other employees at JetBrains.
As part of our Engineering Systems direction, we've been creating energy efficient power supply systems for decades. For example, since 2012 we have made a significant contribution to the launch of large data centers for Yandex, Digital Space Partner, IXcellerate, Sberbank, and RIC System Solutions TSISKO, as well as for governmental organizations such as the Bank of Russia, Goznak and the Federal Tax Service.”
