50-meter flare for Acron Group: Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica's project for 2019

October 10, 2019. Moscow – PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter – the "Company" or "Group"), a leading company in the Russian engineering market, designed, manufactured and delivered a flare stack for Acron Group (PJSC Dorogobuzh).

This project is implemented as a part of the Process Systems area by ROG-Engineering LLC (part of Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica Group of Companies), which specializes in equipment production for the Oil&Gas and petrochemical industries.

As part of the project, in 2019, ROG-Engineering LLC developed engineering documentation, manufactured and delivered a flare 50 m high and with 1,200 mm diameter to the Customer. The flare has a built-in flare KO drum in a supportive tower construction, a gas control unit, and an automatic system for running fire gas support flame.

Delivery of this flare was carried out as part of a project to reconstruct the ammonia unit for PJSC Dorogobuzh in the Smolensk region. Implementing the project will make it possible to increase product output by 130,000 tons per year,  replace outdated equipment, and increase the reliability and productivity of the unit.

The flare by ROG-Engineering LLC is constructed for safe combustion of emergency and periodic gas discharge. It allows to increase the completeness of waste gas combustion, provide stable flare operation in case of changes in flow rate, pressure and composition of the waste gas, and reduce the impact of strong wind on the burning process.

Habir Kilmuhametov, General Director of ROG-Engineering LLC, commented on the implementation of the project: "This project became the debut example of cooperation with Acron Group for us. We successfully completed the installation supervision at the Customer's site. The total weight of the unit reached 79 tons. In November 2019, we are going to perform commissioning works for the installed equipment.

This flare uses an advanced automatic system for running fire gas support flame, control and indication facilities with an alarm for flash pipe flame, as well as solutions to prevent explosive fuel-air mixtures from entering the flare. We hope that the new flare's advanced engineering solutions will become operational advantages during its entire 30-year operation period for our valued Customer.
